Creative Direction
Introduction
My work in creative direction bridges architecture, interiors, photography, and brand storytelling. I help individuals and studios articulate their visual identity with coherence and intention — ensuring that every image, space, and word contributes to a unified sense of character.
I collaborate closely with clients to develop creative strategies that reflect both aesthetic and purpose. Each project begins with a study of tone and atmosphere, often drawing from architectural principles, materiality, and the emotional rhythm of space and light.
Approach
I see creative direction as the art of composition: the curation of visual and spatial elements to express meaning. My process combines conceptual clarity with visual sensitivity — analysing narrative, proportion, and texture to craft experiences that feel deliberate and enduring.
Projects may include campaign development, set or interior styling, visual identity refinement, or the creation of cohesive image libraries for print and digital publication.
Each collaboration is guided by research, dialogue, and a focus on lasting aesthetic value rather than trend.
Past Work and Experience
My creative direction has evolved through an interdisciplinary foundation in architecture and design. I have worked on projects that span editorial photography, interior curation, and brand visual strategy — from heritage-focused studios to emerging lifestyle brands.
Past collaborations include:
University of Cambridge
The Northern Society
Creative Consultancy
As Creative Consultant for The Northern Society at the University of Cambridge, I directed the development of the society’s visual and digital identity, aligning its outward presence with the cultural and intellectual values of its community. My work included establishing a cohesive brand aesthetic, redesigning the website, and curating photographic and editorial content to communicate its purpose with clarity and distinction.
The project combined visual strategy with narrative design, ensuring that each element, from typography to imagery, reflected the society’s character as both a heritage-inspired institution and a contemporary forum for regional identity.

guitar Studio
Founder & Artistic Director
As Founder and Artistic Director of Walsh Guitars, I lead the conceptual and visual direction of the studio. Each instrument is conceived as a narrative object, designed not only for performance but as a sculptural expression of character and story. My role involves overseeing every creative stage, from the design of form and finish to the development of accompanying texts and imagery that situate each piece within a wider cultural and symbolic context.
Drawing from my background in architecture, photography, and heritage studies, I approach guitar design as a study of material, proportion, and identity. Every edition is treated as a collectible artefact that bridges music, craftsmanship, and art, created with the intention of lasting beyond trend or time.
